How to check your BNB Chain wallet after a swap
After a BNB Chain swap, check the transaction status, token transfers and wallet network; the explorer can explain a missing balance before you retry.

After a BNB Chain swap, check the transaction on BscScan, then compare its token transfers with the balance shown in your wallet. The transaction hash in your wallet’s activity view opens the record. BscScan shows whether it succeeded and which tokens moved; your wallet shows the balance it reads on the selected network.
How do I confirm a BNB Chain swap went through?
Open the transaction hash in BscScan and check its status and token transfers. A successful status means the transaction ran, but the transfer details show whether the expected tokens reached your address. BNB Chain’s own guidance points users to an explorer to check a transaction and confirm the token and network.
For a fuller walkthrough, see this Poocoin guide to checking a BNB Chain swap. The key detail is to compare the transaction’s incoming token transfer with the wallet address you control. A swap may also have a separate approval transaction, which lets a trading contract use the token; check the swap itself for the final result.
- Status: “Success” means the swap transaction completed; “Pending” means it has not finished; “Failed” means it did not complete.
- Incoming transfer: Look for the token and amount sent to your wallet address.
- Outgoing transfer: Confirm the input token left your address as expected.
- Fee: Check the transaction fee, paid in BNB on BNB Smart Chain.
Why is the token missing from my wallet after the swap?
First check that your wallet is set to the same network where the swap happened: BNB Smart Chain. BNB Chain’s wallet settings list BNB Smart Chain Mainnet as chain ID 56. A token held on that network will not appear in a wallet view set to another network.
If BscScan shows the incoming token transfer but your wallet does not show the balance, the token may need to be added to the wallet’s display. Use the token contract address shown on the explorer, and check that it matches the token you intended to receive. Token names and symbols can be copied, so they are not enough to identify a token on their own.
What should I check before trying the swap again?
Use the explorer record to diagnose the problem before submitting another trade. If the transaction is still pending, wait for its status to update. If it failed, review the error and your wallet balance before retrying; a failed transaction can still use BNB for its network fee.
For a successful swap, compare the received amount with the trade preview. The final amount can differ when the price moves during execution; slippage is the amount of price change the trade allows. The clearest check is the on-chain transfer to your address, while the wallet is the quickest place to see the resulting balance once it refreshes.
